SOMERSET GOLF  COACHING COMMITTEE

England Golf have moved away from County Academy Programmes and restructured the way funding is allocated for County Coaching programmes.  Somerset Golf Development Group  has formed a Coaching Committee to overview funding for Junior golf in Somerset. This includes a new Player Pathway for boys and girls which incorporates a Development and a Futures squad as well as the existing  Performance squad. The cost for every junior in the county that joins one of these squads will be £50 a year and the rest of the funding comes from England Golf. The Somerset Golf  Coaching Committee has finalised  the new player pathways which  can be seen here
